Hyderabad, July 30: BJP leader and former Sangareddy MLA T Jayaprakash Reddy alias Jagga Reddy re-joined the Congress party on Thursday.
Jagga Reddy called on AICC General Secretary Digvijay Singh in New Delhi expressing his desire to return to Congress fold. He also tendered an apology with AICC President Sonia Gandhi for joining the BJP to contest the Medak by-elections.
Speaking to media persons, Digvijay Singh said Jagga Reddy was being re-admitted into the party based on the unanimous recommendation by all the leaders of Medak district, including Sunitha Lakshma Reddy, who contested and lost the by-elections on Congress ticket. He said Jagga Reddy’s re-entry into the party has been approved by the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee.
Digvijay Singh also said that the TRS Government has failed on all fronts and Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has been functioning as second Nizam of Hyderabad. (INN)
